Want work experience in a REAL startup?
One of our fellow alumni student entrepreneur members has taken the leap of faith and started her own business last month! Grace was involved with Student Entrepreneurs in 2009 as Operations Manager. She is now utilizing the skills learnt in that role to start Sweetsia Cookies. Sweetsia Cookies allows people to custom order their cookies by filling out what ingredients they want in their cookies. There are about 20 ingredients to choose from and are baked fresh. The customized cookies are then delivered straight to their door!
She feels she learnt a lot through Student Entrpreneurs and would like to offer a student the same chance to gain knowledge and work experience at a startup over the summer vacation.
In this role, you’ll learn about how websites operate, social media, how to be resourceful and ‘bootstrap’ as an entrepreneur and useful contacts for when you want to start your own business! Most of all, you’ll be able to get work experience which is valuable for your resume and personal development.
