With university starting next week, thought we’d share the calendar of events for Semester 1. As you’ll see, it’s a pretty packed schedule full of big name speakers, awesome events and competitions, and lot’s of opportunities to get something started!
First up we’ve a couple of intro events during lunchtime on the 29th Feb and 1st March (12pm, ICT seminar room: 206, Floor:2):
- Startup 101 with yours truly, covering the basics of start-ups, skills you’ll need, and a bit of insight into the startup community in Melbourne.
- Student Startup Story with Alan and Hank from Living Poster

After that it’s Startup Hackathon – 48 hours to get a business up and running from scratch, with little more than pizza, red-bull, and an internet connection! Check it at http://startuphack.org
Followed by Making Melbourne – a conference we’re hosting featuring some of the biggest name’s in Melbourne’s business scene.
After Easter there’s the Innovation Challenge ‘intrapreneurship’ competition hosted with CitiPower PowerCor, solving real business problems with big prizes to be won! Details here: http://se-innovationchallenge.com/
Then, to round out the semester, the Agents of Change Entrepreneurship Program kicks off for the second cycle of the year. Takes you through all the stages of starting up in just 8 weeks. Agents Of Change
