Great entrepreneurial ventures are not necessarily born as ready-made ideas. More often than not, the world’s best entrepreneurial ideas are created “underdone” in the midst of cafes and garages, scrawled on the back of scraps of paper, notepads and napkins.
Some of the largest businesses such as HP and Apple all began forming blueprints in their parent’s garage. Other vast empires were created on the back of napkins and placemats in bars and restaurants, including Southwest Airlines and Compaq PC. From humble beginnings, these ideas spawned today’s strongest business competitors.
GE Napkin Competition by Student Entrepreneurs borrows this ethos – believing that our best ideas are created in the midst of living rather than conjured at the desk – taken in the form of an idea on the back of a napkin. NapkinComp 2011 invites YOU to present your own ideas, however simple or complex.
Think. Create. Inspire.
