Student Entrepreneurs inc. is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to promoting and supporting entrepreneurship in Australian universities.
Founded in 2007, we have raised awareness of entrepreneurship to thousands of students, mentored hundreds of student start-ups, and hosted dozens of events developing the skills and abilities of young entrepreneurs.
We run a range of initiatives throughout the year, including, but not limited to:
Startup Hackathon – for the technically gifted, a challenge to create from scratch a web based business in under 48 hours.
Making Melbourne – a conference around the idea of ‘making melbourne a global entrepreneurial hub’. This 2 day event, held late March, brings together many of Melbourne’s leading innovators and entrepreneurs, and helps bridge the gap between these leaders, and the next generation of leaders coming through the ranks.
Entrepreneurs Week – a week of workshops, seminars, competitions, and events covering the varied and diverse aspects that entrepreneurship touches on.
Idea Pitch – a pitching competition were students present their entrepreneurial ideas in front of a panel of seasoned investors.
The Agents of Change entrepreneurship program – for the students looking to get their start-ups off the ground in the fastest possible way. We work with them over 3 months with mentorship, networking, and fortnightly workshops as a crash course in entrepreneurship.
We are actively looking to connect with companies and organisations committed to entrepreneurship and innovation. In our view, these are the people pulling the rest of the world into tomorrow. If your organisation has a proven track record of innovation and entrepreneurship we want to hear from you!
